  7. When you have specified how you want to <a href="actsdata.htp">set up data exchange options</a>, you can send, receive, or both send and receive data.
  8. <p><b>Note:</b> Perform the data exchange from your desktop ACT! database. You do not need to perform any action on the HPC device.

  10. To perform the data exchange:

  12. <LI>From the ACT! File menu on your desktop, choose Data Exchange > Link. The Link dialog box appears.
  13. <LI>In the Link group box, select the Send option, the Receive option, or the Send and Receive option.

  17. The data exchange may take some time, especially if you are exchanging large quantities of data. When the data exchange is complete, both the desktop database and the HPC database are updated with the latest information.
